Freedom From Pain

Was looking for a simple spell to help my mother who is suffering from a lot of physical pain. Going to give it a try, will let you all know how it turns out.

Think intensely about the person you want to free from pain. Visualize them in pain and agony, then visualize the pain fleeing from them as you chant the following nine times (three sets of three):

Wrap thee in cotton,
Bind thee with love,
Protection from pain,
Surrounds like a glove,
Brightest of blessings,
Surround thee this day (night),
For thou art cared for
Healing thoughts sent in flight.

candle healing spell

It seems like I have a lot of people I love and care about right now who are suffering from pain. Pain that is manifesting in many forms. So I went looking for some simple spells for healing. This is one of them that I am going to try. As usual I will keep you informed on the results. So Mote It Be.

Write the names of the people taking part on a blue candle. On a piece of parchment write a list of the things you wish to have healed. This can be specific or general. For you, someone else, or just the universe in general. Light the candle and see the energy being sent into the candle and leaving through the smoke and flame to carry out your will. Hold the paper to the flame to burn. As it does say:

By full moon's light,
With helping hands,
I spread good health,
Throughout the lands.
Send energies far and near,
To heal this earth,
That I hold dear.
And all of those,
So dear to me,
With harm to none,
So mote it be.

Let the candle burn itself out.

Releasing Outcomes

Found this cool spell for releasing expectations of outcomes. I know for myself that I know sometimes I am sabotaging myself by holding on to what I want that I wonder if I am preventing the outcome from happening by not releasing it. So I am going to try this today and give it a whirl. Before doing this I am going to do a chant for getting what you desire. Will post it here.

First, gather some rocks to hold in each hand—either two large stones or two handfuls of gravel. Then, chant to yourself:

Blessed be the powers above.
Let me know your trust and love.
I know what will be, will be,
And I trust you’ll take care of me.

As you speak, clench your fists around the rocks, then open your hands. Imagine letting go of your needs and fears as the stones drop. Wash your hands in running water, and say the rhyme once more.

Visualize your desire,
and repeat as often as is felt necessary:

Let it be, let it be!
Let it, let it, let it be!
Let it be, let it be!
Let it, let it, let it be!
Let it be, let it be!
Let it, let it, let it be!

Here is a twelfth century prayer I found in the book 'Medicine Women, A Pictorial History of Women Healers'. I though it was very ineresting and it brough to my mind Hecate. I wonder if that is the Great Goddess they are beseeching. What do you think?
Earh, Divine Goddess, Mother Nature who generatist all things and bringest forth anew the sun, which thou hast given to all nations; guardian of sky and sea and all gods and powers, and through thy power all nature falls silent and then sinks into sleep. And again thou bringest back the light and chasest away night and yet again thou coverest up most securely with thy shades. Thous dost contain infinite chaos, yea, and winds and showers and storms; thou sendest them out when thou wilt and causest the seas to roar; thou chasest away the sun and arousest the storm. Again when thou wilt sendest forth the joyest day and gives the nourishment of life with thy eternal surety; and when the soul departs to thee we return. Thou are indeed duly called Great Mother of the gods; thou conquerest by divine name. Thou are the source of the strength of nations and of gods, without thee nothing can be brought to perfection or be born; thou art great Queen of the gods. Goddess! I adore thee as divine; I call upon thy name; be pleased to grant that which I ask thee, so I shall give thanks to thee, goddess, with one faith.
Hear, I beseech thee, and be favorable to my prayer. Whatsoever herb thy power dost produce, give, I pray, with goodwill to all nations to save them and grant me this my medicine. come to me with thy powers, and howsoever I may use them may they have good success and to whomsoever I may give them. Whatever thou dost grant it may prosper. To thee all things return. Those who rightly receive these herbs from me, do thou make them whole. Goddess, I beseech thee, I pray thee as a supplicant that by thy majesty thou grant this to me.
Now I make intercession to all ye powers and herbs and to your majesty, ye whom Earth parent of all hath produced and given as medicine of health to all nations and hath put majesty upon you, be, I pray you, the greates help to the human race. This I pray and beseech from you, and be present here with your virtures, for she who created you hath herself promised that I may gather you in the goodwill of him on whom the art of medicine was bestowed, and grant for health's sake good medicine by grace of your powers. I pray grant me through your virtues tht whatsoe'er is wrought by me through you may in all its powers have a good and speedy effect and good success, and that I may always be permitted with the favor of your majesty to gather you into my hands and glean your fruits. So shall I give thanks to you in the name of that majesty which ordained your birth.

The Dark God 3

Here are a couple of invocations I found. I thought they were pretty interesting and that I would share them with you.

"Great God Cernunnos, return to earth again !
Come at my call and show thyself to men.
Shepherd of Goats, upon the wild hill's way,
Lead thy lost flock from darkness into day.
Forgotten are the ways of sleep and night -
Men seek for them whose eyes have lost the light.
Open the door, the door which hath no key,
The door of dreams, whereby men come to thee.
O Mighty Stag, O answer to me !"

Blazing God, Lord of the Sun, you are the king of the Gods, lamp of the day, master of all hat is wild and free. Father of woman and man, lover of the Goddess and protector of the Wicca, descend we pray with your solar ray of power upon our circle here.

the dark god 2

The Charge of The Dark God

Listen to the words of the Dark God, who was of old
called Acheron, Chamer, Anubis, Hades, Mors, Hoder,
and by many other names.
I am the shadow in the bright day, I am the reminder
of mortality at the height of living. I am the
neverending veil of Night where the Star Goddess
dances. I am the Death that must be so that Life may
continue, for behold, Life is immortal because the
living must die.
I am the strength that protects, that limits. I am the
power that says No, No Further, and That Is Enough. I
am the things that may not be spoken of, and I am the
laughter at the edge of Death.
Come with me into the warm enfolding dark, feel my
caresses in the hands, in the mouth, in the body of
one you love, and be transformed.
Gather in the moonless night and speak in unknown
tongues. The Dark Mother and I will listen. Sing to us
and cry out and the Power will be yours to unfold.
Blow me a kiss when the sky is dark, and I will smile,
but no kiss returns, for my kiss is the final one for
all mortal flesh.

The Dark God

Was curious about the Dark God, the consort of the Dark Goddess so did a little searching. He is considered a celtic God associated with many things. In the animal kingdom he is associated with horned animals especially stags. Also associated with fertitily and material wealth. He is said to be guardian of the forest and protector of the animal tribes. He is the source of the deep natural wisdom. The representation of he masculine half of the creative energy of the universe.

Wiccans celebrate him at the Sabbats. Born in winter at Yule, impregnates the Goddess at Beltane then slowly fades and dies during fall to be reborn again at Yule.
Wiccans also believe that the horned God, as Lord of Death, is their "comforter and consoler" after death and before reincarnation. That he is the ruler of the Underworld or Summerland where the souls of the dead reside as they await rebirth.

Here are a song and some charges in praise of the Dark God.

The Song of Amergin

I am a stag of seven tines,
I am a wide flood on a plain,
I am a wind on the deep waters,
I am a shining tear of the sun,
I am a hawk on a cliff,
I am fair among flowers,
I am a god who sets the head afire with smoke.
I am a battle waging spear,
I am a salmon in the pool,
I am a hill of poetry,
I am a ruthless boar,
I am a threatening noise of the sea,
I am a wave of the sea,
Who but I knows the secrets of the unhewn dolmen ?

Here are 3 versions of the Charge of the Dark God.

Version I: The Charge of the Dark God

I am the fire within your heart - the yearning of your soul.
I am the hunter of knowledge and the seeker of the Holy Quest.
I - who stand in the Darkness of Light, am He whom you have called Death.
I - the consort and mate of She whom we adore, call forth to thee.
Heed My call, beloved ones, come unto Me and learn the secrets of death and peace.
I am the corn at harvest and the fruit on the trees. I am He who leads you
home.
Scourge and flame, blade and blood - these are mine gifts to thee. Call unto Me in the forest wild and on hilltop bare and seek Me in the Darkness Bright.
I - who have been called Pan, Herne, Osiris and Hadespeak to thee in thy search.
Come dance and sing; come love and smile, for behold: This is my worship. You are my children and I am thy Father.
On swift night wings, it is I who lay you at the Mother's feet to be reborn and to return again.
Thou who thinks to know Me, know that I am the untamed wind, the fury of the storm and passion in your soul. Seek Me with courage, lest you be swept away in the seeking.
Seek with pride and humility, but see me best with love and strength, for this is my path, and I love not the weak and fearful.
Hear My call on long winter nights, and we shall stand together guarding Her Earth as she sleeps.
