So here it is day one, spell one. Today I am doing the spell from Llewellyn's spell a day for 2010, Overcoming Obstacles. I did do one thing different, added, I drew a picture of me, the bridge, and the goal. I labled the segments of the bridge with the different steps I needed to accomplish the goal. It just felt right to me to do it. I felt that way last night when I was thinking about the goal etc.
Overcoming Obstacles
January 23
Saturday
Color of the day: Black
Incense of the day: Pine
Today is a great day for facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles—on this day in 1855, the first bridge spanning the mighty Mississippi River opened. Decide on a goal that you would like to achieve in the next one, two, or even five years. Sit down with a piece of paper and write a basic list of things you would need to do to achieve that goal, such as find a program of study, save money, etc. Read over your list, then sit comfortably and close your eyes. Envision that you are standing on the bank of a large river, looking at the bank on the other side. Now imagine that a bridge begins to form on your side of the bank, and span to the other side. See this happening in as much detail as possible, and when the bridge is completed, see yourself walking across. Open your eyes, and post your list somewhere you will see it every day. Now go get started!
I did see my bridge and my goal and it felt really good. I really felt like I had a clearer picture of where I wanted to be and how to get there. See you all tomorrow with the next spell. So Mote It Be.
